The preparations have begun for my return to the States. As I start sorting through what I'm taking back with me and what I'm leaving behind, I find myself getting distracted. So I thought I would share some of the random ramblings of my heart (that seem to be keeping me from packing...). As my time here in Romania is sadly coming to an end, I'm reflecting on the person I was when I first arrived- Excited but unsure of my identity in Christ, slight fear of if I'm walking out the right path for my life all surrounded by a foreign environment where I know no one. It took less than a week to know that I was exactly where I was suppose to be and I'm amazed at the difference 6 months can make in a person. My faith has grown to the point where I'm finally seizing the idea that I'm known by name to the Creator of the Universe. There's an intimate relationship between me and Jesus that I've never fully grasped until now- A closeness with Him that gives me security in all the unknown that lies ahead. Throughout the battles and triumphs that I faced while being here, besides my faith, one thing remained constant- My roommates. These two I owe a giant THANK YOU! Carmen & Amber - I feel as though I've known you two for years. I want to Thank you for your encouragement. For giving me wise advice when I was at a loss for what to do. For bringing laughter not only on the outside, but laughter to my soul. For the memories that will last a lifetime in the short 6 months we spent together. For consistently showing me a great example of a Godly woman. I admire the faith the two of you show in all you do. I will cherish our Genuine friendship and look forward to the time all three of us are together again! So as I continue to ramble as things cross my mind, I want to note how thankful I am for the Hope Center. That place, the people I work(ed) with and those children changed my life. I found purpose and meaning to what I was doing. As challenging as it was, I was rewarded with a deeper understanding of my faith and children that found their way into my heart (and one child I would truly love to adopt). My prayers will be steady for The Hope Center and the Caramidari neighborhood. I'll specifically be praying for the children and that as their hearts accept Jesus, the positive changes would overflow into the family. So that's my Rambling part 1. Have I mentioned how I'm an emotional wreck about leaving?...I'm an emotional wreck because I'm leaving. Prayers are greatly appreciated :)
Love you all! God Bless!
